LTG ENGINE COOLANT CAPACITY AND TYPE

Hi there!!,
does anybody know what is the exact COOLANT CAPACITY and COOLANT TYPE in order to make a full change on an LTG 2,0 turbo engine?

I can't find this info on the documents I have here and my car is almost five years old now.. so I guess a good "refresh" of the coolant system could be a proper idea.

Thanks!,

I'm not sure if you need to know the exact amount... just release the petcock valve on the bottom passenger side of the radiator. Let it completely drain out than fill it back up along with the overflow tank. Start the car, let it idol for a while and re-check.. That's what I do... am I missing something here???

Also, I use Mishimoto...

Yes.. that would be the ideal situation, as I live in Italy and knowing the exact quantity before draining the system would be perfect, as I'll have to source/order DexCool before I do the job on the cooling system. Unluckily, here it's not so easy to find GM parts and have them quickly, right when you need them.

No... you're not! You are essentially following GM's instructions (workshop manual) on how to flush it.

See you!!,

I did a complete coolant system redo on my 2014 CTS and did it the same way.

Be sure to have a cooling system vacuum fill device before you do it. It will make sure there is no need to purge the system of air. Fill and done with one of those. Great tool.
