Anyone know what the buzzing is?

Hey all

Any help you can provide in figuring out what the buzzing on the video would be appreciated.

I don't remember the noise happening before but last Friday i took the car to the dealer to inspect a leaking Xpipe. Either way, just need to figure out what it is. It sounds like is coming from the cats.

I drove yesterday and it was doing it mainly on 6th gear between 50 to 60 mph if i stepped on it hard. I also think it only happens when the exhaust is no in stealth.. i tried to create it while driving on stealth and i don't think I happen.

Any chance something is loose on the exhaust? Any chance the cats are loose inside?

Take a look underneath and see how close the pipes are to the black cross brace. If you just had work done it’s quite possible it may be rubbing.

you might just consider the other side of this is that 50-60mph isn't an appropriate RPM range (too low) for you to be in 6th gear, too high of a gear. Gear selection for conditions is important.

Update... The noise is present all the time in all gears and with the exhaust NPP valve open or closed. It mainly happens if i step on it hard. I got it to happen at 70 to 80 mph in 5th and 6th gear. Also, it happens when I got from 1st to 4th and then step on it to accelerate on 4th.

It's like a buzzing ad if something is loose or inside the cats loose. I need to get under the car and inspect.

Does anyone else have this buzzing/metal rattling?

On this video within the first few seconds after you hear the air intake open up, you can hear the buzzing and then throughout the video.

Just get under it and inspect it bud. No one can do anything by listening to a video.

I understand that.. just trying to verify if the noise is normal or not. Im actually going to let the deal inspect given that it is still under warranty so I wanted to have others pitch in whether its abnormal noise.

Is this the stock exhaust? Did you buy it new? Can you take a pic of the exhaust? My laptop has terrible speakers but it sounds like a drone sound to me?

its stock. I bought the car used. for info, my muffler and X pipe is being replaced under warranty because it is leaking at the x pipe. I think the cats might be bad. Car is at the dealership today for inspection.

I think thats the issue, I think its a drone sound. Hopefully that will resolve the issue. I changed an exhaust on a Corvette about a month ago and literally drove it right back to my house and swapped it back the same day because it had terrible drone. Hope thats the issue.

Mine doesn’t have the buzzing and it’s stock except for the Roto-Fab intake. Good luck!
