Get a good one and mount it as far from the engine as possible; no, not near the exhaust manifolds either.
Not sure why some blow oil and some don't. Mine was totally dry when I changed mine. No CC needed on mine.

So mine got shipped yesterday. Should he here in a few days.
Question about the re-learning process. Can Mike or someone explain to me the necessity of the limp mode test? Thanks

Thank you very much! Not strictly necessary, but it is good to know that the TB will perform all its functions. Most modified TB's, if not all, come w/o instructions or testing, we wanted to have a complete set of instructions for those who want to do a complete test. It is really up to you.

Got it this afternoon and installed it.came with detailed instructions. So far, I did the idle (it’s stable at around 600rpm for my manual) and the gradual/progressive acceleration to 4k rpm. No kinks so far. Will start doing the normal driving process of gradual/progressive acceleration and deceleration process in different gears. 5-10 driving cycles for a total of around ~100miles or so.
Please let me know if I’m doing this right and not missing any crucial steps. Oh by the way, no check engine light as of now.....
Cheers

This is exactly how I did it with mine. About 500 miles later all is still well

Received my Soler on Friday, installing it tomorrow morning. I ordered with the option of no etching/branding on the blade or the outside of the TB. That is an awesome option - Helps keep things stealth and lowers the chance that I screw myself out of any future warranty work. Comparing the TB to the stock one the machining looks really nice. I'm excited to see how it goes.

FYI for those who change their TB: I removed the four bolts and flipped the TB upside down to get at that gray clip. It pops out if you push the gray clip toward the connector end with a flat blade screwdriver. After that the connector pulls right out. I have seen posts and videos from people saying they had to break the gray clip to unplug the TB.

Installed mine a week ago. The difference in the car is amazing. I rarely drove my SS 1LE on the road, saving it for the track, because it was so difficult to drive smoothly. The Soler has transformed the car. I am enjoying driving it with RM off. I am looking forward to seeing the difference on track. The surging is gone. I can't believe such a simple upgrade has made such a big difference. Well done Soler.

Any reason not to install while still breaking in the engine? Does the relearn procedure require high revs?
