Pic of log.

top grouping.
Blue constant is requested low side @75psi i believe.
light blue is actual low side psi.

2nd group down.
orange across the top is pedal which is 100%
green is actual tps which dips to 44% throughout the pull.
it should only dip during the shift and come back to 86% or whatever it is.

Cars been back together and running pretty good. The weather has sucked and the local car scene sucks this year so the car has been on the back burner.

Stupid CEL for the fuel is still on and wont pass inspection. It clears for small periods of time but comes back. I would have to time it with the inspection place to get the sticker. Its the end of the season so I'm not going to bother.

I made it to the track the last day it was open. Transbrake works like a mother fer. I hit so hard the lap top flipped over in my passenger seat and closed the log LOL. I left at 3200 rpm and 2 psi of boost to get a 1.4 sixty foot. It pulled hard 1st and 2nd then hit some limiter (torque?) and it cut the throttle to 44% a few times in 3rd, 4th and 5th. Ended with a 10.0 in the 130s. No log, no 9 and the track closed. damn

I plugged the dragy in last night to see what it'll do. Last year it went 5.3 60-130 with a passenger at 18psi. I got one decent run in and went 5.0 60-130. It spun the tires at 80mph so it might be possible to click off a 4 if I can get back out there.

I wired up my boost controller to my motion race works buttons. I have it set to change between presets but might switch it to "scramble" when the button is held down. I havent played with the sensitivity or gain. Hoping there is room for improvement there. The whole reason I went to this EBC was with a goal of keeping the boost +/- 1 psi of target across all rpm.
Nice update Choda, thanks for sharing. Cars definitely making some steam!

What CEL are you getting? If it's just a nuisance code why not set it to "No Error Reported"?

I hear you on the car scene and the tracks closing. Feel like it's been a lame year for this stuff. I'm finally going to the track this upcoming weekend and they close for the season next weekend... so not many chances to get a 9...!

As Josh mentioned you might have to disable that code for the fuel system. DSX mentions that it's common to get a p2635 with the AUX setup and that is considered a nuisance code.

weather looks bad this weekend. Dragway 42 is open into November so I still have time. My tuner sent me an updated tune to try. Maybe I'll get another pull in with the dragy.

I'll check the engine diag to turn off the code. Will that eliminate the code from the history for inspection?

If it’s a permanent code, no. But as long as the code isn’t current (meaning CEL is on) then you shouldn’t fail inspection. I made the mistake of launching my AFM valves when I first got the car, thinking I could just tune it out. So I have permanent codes in memory, but doesn’t cause the CEL to come on, so my inspection passes even though the state scans the OBD-II connection. Hope that makes sense…

Tuner sent me an update. Car pulls hard and no more throttle cut. Everything in the log looks good from my noob eyes. I made the e85 adjustments and CEL changes in prep for going flex/full e85. I'll stick with 93 with the current setup but I'd like to have everything ready for when the time comes.

Broke into the 4s with the dragy 60-130. I'm not going to try again unless it warms up. The tires are spinning around 80 every time and its a handful.

I’m not far north of you in Ontario. I must say you got balls making pulls like that in these temperatures. Love your build. Just be safe brother

I found a procharger intake with port injection. I really dont want to go into the dual ecu route but know its a possibility. I also think going to direct port meth is a good idea at this level. I still have the OEM plastic intake and it's held 18 psi but I don't want to push it or find the point where the distribution of the triple nozzle before the TB is going to cause issues.

Still fighting inspection CEL permanent and history codes from when I built the motor and fired it without updating the ecu for the lme front cover and dsx aux.

This makes sense. My mad for not turning them off before firing the car.

Want to see something crazy? I had my shop build my motor in June 2020 or so, and when we went to start the car I realized at the last second we had forgotten to tune out all VVT and header related codes! So we constructed a Frankenstein-level setup using 50 alligator clips, then keyed the car on (without starting it), IMMEDIATELY flashed in the new tune with all the crap shut off, then keyed the car off and disassembled Frankenstein. Two years later and no code problems.

yeah that's pretty slick. I'm wondering if I bought a new computer, had it programmed to my vin at the dealer, plugged it in, key on and loaded my current tune ( with all the cam sensors turned off ) it would solve my issue.

Won’t it have to be installed in the car for them to flash it? The minute you power up with missing hardware that the ECM cannot see…permanent code. Not going to lie, it’s a crappy situation you’re in.
