I agree that the headers are not the most urgent thing to worry about right now. But I also agree that you really should opt in the 2" LTs instead of the 1-7/8s. I believe it was either SW or TSP or both companies that offers the 2" at the same price as the 1-7/8s. Either way even if it does cost a bit more you might as well go for it.

Another thing. I'm assuming this build is costing over $30K. Why not go for a TT setup and have even more potential down the road? You are gonna get to the point where stock displacement will hold you back. And then with more displacement you're gonna max out that 2650 or you'll be losing a lot of power spinning it. Just something to think about. I don't think you can go wrong either way tho.

The 2650 has made 1100whp @ 18psi sitting on top of a 427 breathing through 1 7/8 headers. XDI fuel system on E80 with no meth. Most builds don't even take full advantage of the 2650r around here.

Was that JRE's build? I remember a video he posted with numbers like that where he referenced another build that went out to 1200 or something, too. That's pretty stout.

Yes it was. I believe it was a manual car.

Yes King, It is a manual car.
How does 100mm upper and 8.3 or 8.6 lower sound for a starting point?
I ended up with a 70mm and 80 mm from Magnuson with the initial shipment...Long story.
So now I'll have to buy an upper. Question is, which one?

Stick with the 90mm. You can buy one directly from magnuson or my personal preference would be to get the grip tech one.

92 upper on mine with stock lower for now. Pully size, fuel limitations, throttle body, intake and so on all should have some type of impact on hp. Look up some tuners on here. Im sure they have some examples. One post I came across a while back - a guy in california put on a 2650 only because of emissions and gained aprox 100hp if i remember correctly and kept it inspector friendly legal. Maybe search for that post

Actually it does, I talked about that in one of the videos.

We installed a 9.17 on the bottom
