Thanks! My only regret is not getting an LPE cam with the +42% fuel lobe. This cam has a +32% and it's limiting my big bore HPFP output unfortunately.

Thanks! The 120 LSA kept the idle reasonably tame. The extra Magnaflow muffler keeps the volume really reasonable given the power it makes. I swear I had the quietest car at Cecil County Raceway!

It's likely going to be a long time yet before 9.60's is the slowest car at the track. Once everybody has Tesla's then maybe. lol

Finally got around to uploading some videos from the past year... Only took me a few months...lol
Here's my first 9! At a local track (Lebanon Valley, NY) and I had let off early in hopes of not getting tossed for not having a cage. Still ran 9.93... https://photos.app.goo.gl/311K14XVzBkSbDq99 And here's one from my trip to the Annual Fall Brawl at Cecil County Dragway in Maryland. Personal best 9.65 on this one. This modded GT500 made great power but not sure if he decided to take an afternoon siesta at the line... haha https://photos.app.goo.gl/MeGJizNjz7DnwAYd8

So, it’s early 2022 and I don’t want anyone to think I’ve just been hibernating.
I have been adamant about keeping my full-weight 2SS a full-weight 2SS from day one. I’m just not interested in owning “most of a Camaro” and want to continue to be able drive the car on a short trip and mostly enjoy the drive! Admittedly those types of trips with this car are fewer and farther between these days… But one thing that seemed like low hanging fruit in terms of weight savings is the battery. I don’t want to run a smaller battery to save weight, but if the technology is there to deliver full power and save 30 pounds, it seems like a no-brainer. Enter Antigravity Batteries and their new line of lithium batteries. These batteries have a fail safe lockout in case your battery runs low…just hit the included key fob button to reset the lockout and you can start your car! I went with the 40 Ah unit. Back to back testing with the OEM battery verified a full 30 pound weight savings.

And while we’re on the weight savings topic, I found another neat piece that will save weight without sacrificing anything in terms of functionality. This carbon fiber radiator cover replaces the full steel stock one, saving 3 pounds over the nose of the car. Looks sexy too!

And while saving weight is nice, what I really needed was more power! My blower just needed to move more air but was already at the limit of what the Whipple 2.9 could do. And with the 3.0 continually getting postponed, I struck up a conversation with Greg Kong. He agreed to take a crack at my 2.9 and felt like it would be worth 60-70 WHP at my level. For $1500 that seemed like pretty cheap power and will let me take another crack at 1K WHP (DI only, no meth, no nitrous). So off the blower came and I packed it up and shipped it off to Kong. About a month later it came back with the snout and access to the rotor pack significantly opened up! Here’s a before and after:

In addition to making more power, I needed a much better way to control that power depending on what I’m doing with the car… without constantly changing pulleys. Enter Smooth Boost, an electronic boost controller for PD blowers! This bad boy will allow me to make power when my foot is actually down, as opposed to anytime the engine doesn’t make vacuum…. It also allows me to pull up to 80% of the boost out of the engine for around town street use but with the ability to dial it up on the fly if I pull up next to a Hellcat…
