Replaced Window not GM.
So I had to get my passenger side window replaced after someone smashed it. And I notice it is not an GM OEM one. Should I be concerned at all about its quality vs OEM?

The passenger window is plain tempered glass. I would feel most comfortable with non-OEM in that application.
Anything with a decorative coating/blackout (e.g. small triangle side window) or defrost wiring, I would want GM glass. The defrost wiring in particular can be a problem. Also, defrost wires double as antenna in many vehicles, including ours. With laminated glass like windshields, I would worry about any areas that are blacked out. And really worry about things like wiper defrost wiring (we don't have that). |

My driver's side is non-OEM. No issues with it.

On my convertible, both of my rear mini-windows whistle a little bit. Maybe I should try aftermarket!

I wouldn't worry about - as mentioned above, glass quality more important on windshield and back glass, especially if you have HUD. Side glass is just there to keep the weather and burglars at bay.

But you can ask for OEM replacement glass if you think of it in advance.
Just sayin'. |
