Audio poor quality

6 months to the day from order to delivery of my 1SS in vivid orange. Had it for a month now and soooo disappointed with the sound system.
Might anyone know if the issue is the radio or speakers? Both?
I'm not willing to take anything out or alter where the current radio is but happy to entertain adding something that can later be removed. Not sure where there would even be room for that but perhaps someone has already found a solution? Thanks for insight and suggestions.

1SS is not the best sound system, that said, what are the specific issues you are experiencing?
I only use mine to run my playlist off a USB drive, I have no real complaint with the system, I have certainly had worse!

The Bose in my 2020 2SS and 2023 ZL1 is absolute crap.

Add an amplified sub. Can go behind the front seat vertically or under it if you don't want it in the trunk area.

As an audiophile with a Rotel pre-amp processor and 5 separate Audio Source power amps each bridged mono running my home stereo/theater system, along with a Pro-Ject Carbon One turntable for my stupid large collection of vinyl, pretty much every factory car stereo I have ever heard is absolute rubbish.

I’ll be investing a good $2500 in proper speakers, amps, and a processor with a week of getting my car to get rid of the B(l)ose system.

I agree, it's pretty horrible. First thing I noticed when I drove my car (non-Bose). Low sound volume, no bass, etc. Seriously, I had cars back in the 80's that had better factory sound systems. Oh well, I bought it for the music the engine and exhaust make anyway.

The Bose in my 2016 isn't that great either. The system in my 08 HHR sounds so much better.

The Bose in my Trailblazer RS was definitely better than the Bose in my LT1.
My complaints in the Camaro are that the bass isn’t tight enough and can actually be overwhelming; and guitars lack weight. Maybe as the speakers break in further, I can adjust the EQ some more.

General poor sound quality. Not crisp or clear. Need to turn volume high which produces more sound but not just music. I don't mean background noise per se but music isn't accentuated well. Even DJ sounds muffled rather than clear or annunciated. I turn bass and treble up a little and leave midrange at zero and this helps slightly but..... Hope that helps explain it. reason I asked about speakers and tuner separately is because the speakers sound like they can't handle what the tuner puts out. And that is coming from someone who hasn't purchased an after market deck in 20 years and even then it was for out boat, not a car.

It’s funny how people interpret things differently. I think there is too much bass and it’s not controlled enough. Too slow or flabby. I’m guessing it’s low and center mids that are lacking. But I’m no expert either.
