getting no love!

Read a thread posted on cam6 (just perusing) about not getting any wave's or thumb's up from other Camaro drivers. That made me think, I see the same thing in my gen 5! consensus over there is that it is newer car, lots on the road, so not really getting enthusiast's driving and wanting to share their joy with other owners. I know I have offered plenty of attention to other drivers, but maybe seen one other Gen 5 driver return the sentiment.

Should I just stop bothering with it and just ignore them? seems rude to me to not at least nod!

I always give a wave, if possible. I rarely get one back. Usually it is just a blank stare.

I get waves from other Camaro drivers more often than I get from other Jeep drivers in the Willys.... and it's supposed to be a Jeep thing! I don't even bother in the Jeep anymore.

I always look over other Camaros, and I can usually tell if the other driver is checking mine out as well. Then I usually give a nod or a wave and they do too it's nice
Other yellow Camaro drivers sometimes wave at me first

Yea. I also find that some of the drivers are so focused on what is in front of them that they fail to observe what is going on around them. I am always checking my surroundings.

with over 1 million Camaro's on the road... the general population just doesn't understand how cool the car they are driving is. In Orlando 98% of the Camaro's I see are tourist rented.

I usually don't wave unless I know who drives that camaro or unless they wave at me first. Used to wave all the time but never got a wave back.

I give a wave, get very few in return regardless of which Camaro I'm in.

I've never seen anybody wave in the Camaro gen 5 or 6 at that. when I owned a Tj, it seemed that community was all about that. I always got a wave and returned the gesture. in fact I had to ask a friend why, he said it was just part of the community. With Camaros it (IMO) seems as a ego thing on whose is bigger/faster/more throaty. Just my two cents

We used to own a TJ also, definitely got a lot more waves in that than the 2 newer JK's we have had.

I use to wave when I have my '02 SS and waved at Corvette's when I had my '02 Vette but I don't do it anymore. It seems like the "wave" has been forgotten about in the Camaro community.

"The Wave" seems to mostly have died out as the cars have become more common, but there's usually still some spark of love between other yellow Camaro drivers... even yellow cars. In fact... I get more brotherly/ sisterly waves from yellow cars in general than from Camaros in general.

The other day, on the freeway, by chance, I got into a three- car convoy: A yellow 6th Gen, a yellow Challenger (Damn straight, it looked good!), and myself. I thought the free car show was pretty bitchin,' but, alas, when it came time to part ways, neither driver even acknowledged the others... not a bit.

That's okay... nobody has any requirement to show love. Still... it's a bummer to see the love fading away.

I guess we'll need to give it 50 years, when a 5th gen is a rare classic.

I have both ..2014 camaro and s550 mustang ..sadly I will tell you that Mustang members seem to be a little bit more friendlier and waving at each other..not so much with the camaro 5th or 6th gen .. not too long ago I waived at a really nice 5th gen Camaro but I happen to be in the Mustang that day the guy got all defensive and flipped me off lol..alot of the Corvette guys are pretty cool humble .
