I try to wave, no matter what gen the car is including the past generations (usually the 4th, there are a lot of them still out there), my neighbors, Jeeps out of habit from when I drive the Wrangler... guess I am just pretty friendly. That said I have missed returning waves from time to time, just focused on where I am going or something else on the road has my attention. Sure a lot of folks do not return the wave but being friendly does not really cost me anything.
