Does anyone know if we delete the secondary cats in Georgia if it will pass the emession testing that is required after a vehicle is a few years old?

I understand. The primary cats would still be visible and frankly I don't believe they even look I believe they just test the exhaust. So my concern is if they remove the secondary cats will it still pass...

I doubt it. It passes emissions likely because of those 2nd cats otherwise they wouldn't be put in. When you delete them have the exhaust shop put flanges on them so you can easily reinstall

Georgia only has emissions testing in a few counties. They are visual in some, and others use a sniffer which it might fail. Depends on your county and what they test.

I would be doing a complete Borla Catback and not just cutting them out. The other reason why I am questioning it is why would they put the O2 sensor after the first set of cats and not the second?

The secondary cats were added for California emissions and that is all. I think you will be fine.

Hey man! Right after I bought mine, so went by Lamar Walden Automotive in Doraville and talked to Rob the owner who did all of the performance mods on my 4th Gen when I owned that. He recommended Kooks long-tube with high-flow cats, secondary cat delete, and keep the stock NPP. He said the secondary delete would not be an issue as far as emission requirements for those of us in the metro emission-testing counties.
