There's that, but it was also a super exciting race. Chase got his first ever Cup win, and had to hold off defending Cup champion Truex to do it. Chase almost spun out in Turn 1 on the last lap during some hard wheel hop, but saved it by knocking it out of gear, and got it back in gear just in time. Exciting stuff! The crowd was on their feet screaming at the end, rooting for the kid to get his first win. I think every other driver in the field congratulated him after the race.

Congratulations to Chase Elliott finally achieving his 1st Monster Energy Cup Series win and the whole #9 Hendrick Motorsports team! Great job and a truly exciting race to watch! I’m glad it was a sell out crowd and to see the love and respect shown by his fellow competitors to come congratulate him. I’m a fan and looking forward to more wins that are sure to come!

Nice that Chase won, too bad his dad had to sit in, at least Dale Sr congratulated his son and then left.
But I guess you missed the bump and run in Chicago. Or Larsen and K Busch before that. Or Busch and Harvick coming up thru the field at Pocono. There has been good racing, except for restrictor plates, for most of the season. Its just been diluted by 3 teams. Now the Chase has won and can start wrapping up more. And congrats go to HMS for 250 wins |

so exciting that the CEO had to get drunk and high on Oxy and take a spin around the Hampton's, allegedly (I mean it is "fake news" cuz it wasn't tweeted by that one guy that tweets a lot, so...)
NASCAR chairman and CEO Brian France announced on Monday he was taking an indefinite leave of absence following his arrest in the Hamptons on charges of driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of oxycodone. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mot...nce/ar-BBLA9U5 Also, aren't like 2/3 of NASCAR teams Chevy teams? I see a lot of ZL1's on the track.
