2010 RS 6 Speed Manual
I had a 12 45th anniversary RS auto, then bought a 13 SS 1LE. Both have been sold for a while now as I moved over to the vette world. Now, I'm missing a 5th gen. Before you say "it's SS or nothing", hear me out. I have a high hp Z06. Power is awesome, but I'm looking for more of a daily 8 months out of the year. Not that I won't care about the RS, just want something I won't obsess over every stone chip as a daily.
I found a very well maintained 2010 RS at a very good price. The M6 is a huge bonus for me. The car had rings, pistons, chain, tensioners replaced by GM for high oil consumption back in 12 at 27k miles. Has 44k miles now and seems to be issue-free. Thoughts? I had a LFX in my 12 RS, this one is the LLT. Issues to consider? Thanks

Not sure they were upgrading to the new chains at the time of that engine rebuild.
The LFX (in the Camaro only) had the good ones so I'd pass on any LLT motor unless it could be proved they were.

I picked it up today. Fully loaded M6 except for sunroof. 44,030 miles. Full history, no accidents or repaint. I think I got a good price, I could be wrong though. I’ve been away for a while, haven’t been watching prices.

Thanks. Washed it, dumped a bit of overfilled oil out of it and wiped down the inside. Pretty good for $8,800. Hope it doesn’t crap out on me and I can enjoy it a few years

Thank you guys for the kind words. Ya, original tires and brakes, so we went back and forth on price, but I'm happy where we settled. I've got maybe another 10k miles on tires if I push it. I will have to polish, seal and wax it, touch up a few chips here and there, but it's a good, honest car. Older gentleman owned it, never abused or neglected. Completely stock. The 2 tone interior, including the grey carpets cleaned up great. I put in my old weathertechs, will probably get a catch can for that LLT and after the paint correction, diff and trans fluid change, call it good. Changed the oil today myself too, now I know it's done right.

A couple pics after the wash and clean. You can see it needs a good paint correction by the way the sun reflects

Looks super clean, awesome looking car!
I am however very suprized they sold you a car with 10 year old tires, it is recommended by the DOT and tire manufacturers that tires are to be taken out of service at 6 years old no matter how good they look.

Thanks. True, but I purchased from a private owner. The age of the tires is in the price

No problem. It’s originally from Berger so he took off his plate and left me the frame. Now waiting to get it plated as DMV offices are by appointment only around here.
