Pretty quick shifts for a bone stock A10 ZL1..

Be nice if gm would sell a kit to put line lock on the 16-18
GM doesn't, but there are after market ones...which im sure you've looked at

Looks pretty good. I can’t recall how mine was stock

Mine has pretty aggressive tuning. Especially my track tune with no TM. Shifts harder and faster than that vid

Definitely not. That transmission is a lot better than the old 6 speed auto.

Yea true. But, the SS started out faster than the Coyote. And even with the A8 it is still faster than the A10 GT by 2 tenths. Again that is counting the best times that both cars have done. So even if the SS only gains 1-2 tenths then we will be looking at 12.1 as tested. And again, scaling it, that would mean we'll see people hitting high 11s at the track. Hero runs will be even faster.

I'm so happy I got the SS1LE, since I was also considering the Mustang GT PP2.

Ford has now corrected their configurator and they are charging $1,595 for cloth, manual Recaros, when I get power operated leather Recaros included in the 1LE.

I just took my 1LE to Lime Rock bone stock (completed break in period on track ), and my lap times were 5 seconds faster than my 3,600lbs 2012 Mustang GT BBP, with suspension mods and 275 squared RS3 tires, CAI, tune.

I'm not knocking the Mustang. It is great to have choices. But if you really plan on getting a track ready car the Camaro SS 1LE is a complete bargain. All the performance bits (Brembos on all 4 corners, all the coolers, etc) all the comfort (Leather-power Recaros) readily avaiable for ˜$40-$41K. Can't imagine paying $5-$10K more for the Mustang PP2, that will still be missing the power Recaros, rear Brembos, PTM, E-LSD, coolers.

That's because you wouldn't...The Mustang would MSRP for $1,190 more.

If Ford didn't force you to have a 9 speaker stereo and dual zone climate control with your track package the PP2 would be $2000 cheaper or $800 less than a 1SS1LE

But it still doesn’t have power Recaro seats, coolers, rear Brembos, and HUD. But cost more. Plus the SS has the better stereo and dual zone.

Mustang GT with PP2, Recaro seats, and Dual mode exhaust - 47,080

Camaro 1SS with 1LE package - 44,995

The Mustang is 2,085 dollars more.

Ok cool... so still not $5-10k more and the Mustang will have dual zone climate and a better radio.

TLDR: it ain't $5-10k more.
