Watched your video and I have a couple of suggestions for next time.

Burnout, I think you should do a longer one. Looks like they make you drive over the water, therefore, you should spend some time burning that water off the tires.

Track position, the groove is those 2 dark areas, tire tracks. You seem to run on the left side of the lane, away from the groove. If you put your tires right in the groove, you should have better traction than what you were experiencing over on the side of the lane.

Thanks for the advice. I will use it on Saturday when I go the 1/4 mile.

Do you know the DA of your passes. I may have missed it. And if I am reading it correctly your best mph was 96+?

My best mph was 94.xx. I have no idea what the DA was or how I could have found out. Is this speed good?

I let off on alot of my runs because I was scared lol. Well I would say on every run lol.

Oh, I thought I saw a 96 something in the slips you posted.

I just need to know what track it was. If it is a tiny local track then just the town and elevation of the track. I can figure out the rest.

In 0 DA with a DR a 500rw A8 should trap 100 mph or better in the 1/8 IMHO. But not knowing all the details it is just an opinion.

It looks like the DA was around +1,000ft. So if you are on the stock trans tune and it isn't dialed in for the correct shift points and you couldn't go WOT off the hit then that is a pretty good mph. Dialed in, you should be able to trap at least 97mph in that weather.

If Fayetteville is open this Sunday I will be there on pump gas. Not sure you would want to make the trip. If you have tuning capability you could steal my track trans tune. It would be cool to see what your car runs out the back door.

I will be at Richmond dragway this weekend. First time 1/4 mile this time. I do have the stock tune on trans.

Awesome, have fun. DA should be around +500 if the weather holds.

I first say make the trip to Fayetteville tomorrow and we will work on your passes and log your car if you are not already. I implore you to make the drive tomorrow. I will make it worth your time.

Are you on your street tires of DR's? There are two completely different launch techniques for the two. Tire pressures etc. If you are on streets you need to manually shift. I will explain more later on that if need be. We need to work on your burn out, roll out, throttle hit, application of power, shift points, driver settings etc. Car sounds like a monster though, I love it. We can get you into the 1.75 60fts on your street tires if we do it right and your cam/MSD combo make enough tq down there. It will just take a couple passes to get it right.

What was that full bolt on car trapping? That is what we need to focus on. ET is meaningless with a 1.9 60ft. 94mph spinning like you did isn't bad. The DA had to be around +2,000ft today as well. It is still almost 1,400ft at Fayetteville right now. That is horrendous air for here and this time of year. It is supposed to get into the low 30's tonight with a high of 61* tomorrow last I checked. Great day to make a little power and hit the track.

I cant make it, but I can work something out in a few weeks, are there test and tunes only Sundays? My family is in town. The full bolt on camaro was trapping 91 all day.

Okay.

They hold events on Fridays/Saturdays but there is usually a TNT on Sundays. We can work something out.

When you say full bolt ons, are you talking, CAI, ported IM/TB, Headers, Exhaust etc? You had 2-3mph on him which makes perfect sense if the only difference was you basically having a cam over him. And if he was hooking up and able to apply power earlier than you then it will show out greater in an 1/8 mile race since it is all about traction in that short of a distance. When I was basically stock I beat a guy at the track in the 1/8th who was in a high 8 second Mustang. At the 1/8 he passed me like I was sitting still. I think he trapped 118 mph or something to my 90ish. But he blew the tires off and had to play catch up. I am sure in the 1/4 your would have gapped that mph on the bolt on car.

DA is the real killer. When you go to the track you need to start tracking it.

A stock trans tune is also murdering your times. Especially since you are cam and MSD. I will have to go find your dyno graph but you need to be shifting that thing at no less than 6,700, possibly higher. The stock tune is going to shift between 5,400 to 6,400 which is keeping your motor out of your real power band. The stock TM is also super aggressive and kills about .2 and 2mph from my experience. It can be detuned and still in place. You could be leaving 3-4mph on the table with the stock trans tune. Then there is getting your ECM TQ tables adjusted correctly.
