I was seeing TM, from what I believe, was how much timing was pulled in the Minimum Spark table. My DD and VTT tables are high enough they shouldn't intervene and I was getting TM, especially on the 2-3. It would dither at the end of that shift for a little, and go away, but after eliminating that gear limit in the T87A, no more TM. I've yet to make it onto the strip, so I can't comment on WOT from a dig, but I'm sure I would've seen the TM, like everyone else.

My guess is you are likely close but all you have to do is log the car and you will know. Some will try to fool the ECU by playing with the torque tables to get around it. Me personally, I prefer to set the torque model higher than what the car actually makes. The car just flat out works better that way but that requires zeroing out that TCM table or else the throttle won't open all the way.
That's how I do it. I tried to model torque from dyno info from here and online, and bumped the values a little higher (so I'd add another 5% above those numbers) and don't have issues. My DD is probably higher than it needs to be, but I my Throttle follows my Pedal pretty close pretty much all of the time, and I get not closure or TMA (except on shifts). I was getting weird stuff on the Maggie tune, so that motivated me to start tinkering. I've had help along the way, but the engine is doing exactly as I command. Now - I'm trying to see how to get the tranny to, too. It's not misbehaving in any way - I just like exploring.

Yep every log is like that, get rid TCM and your stellar with the T87. Just looked at a log from last time out, my timing drops all the way to 1.5 degrees at 2675 rpms when the TCM takes over, then ramps back in at about 3100 rpm then hell breaks loose again. You don't feel it cause it happens so quick but can't wait till I get the new TCM and on the log the line goes straight up.

I say a definite YES that your 1/4 mile ETs have been hindered by the locked TCM, even with 'just' 400s rwhp. My experience with a 2017 SS (first year of the locked TCMs) was that while it was still locked, the car was definitely slower than it should have been early in the run. Best 60s while still locked (just a few bolt-ons) were high-1.6s, much like what others have experienced. Also note that laynlo15 was experiencing this too when he was running just bolt-ons on his LT1 model, he even mentioned how it felt soft to the 1/8 at the time.

I would say your right on that and it only made 435 at the wheels and 441 torque. Some of that was caused by the taller then stock rears I would guess.

Are you doing the tuning yourself? Like KingLT1 said, the preferred method is tcm tuning. If you don't have that yet like me. Your next option is lowering the virtual torque in the problematic area, starting with airmass & e85 airmass, then going to map & e85 map. I also launch from just around 1000rpm. Best so far is 1.66, bolt on LT1.

My best 60 ft has been 1.68 and 1/8 mile pass @7.399, runningE70, LT2 intake, 180stat, front swaybar removed ,MT et street Rs, 1/8 tank gas, borla s axle back, rear seat out that is it. What kind of things done to your car? and what have been your 1/8 and 1/4 mile ETs?

Don’t want to thread Jack. I have a post with that info in the drag section here

My 2019 ZL1 ran 10.30@131 with e50 and a Rotofab Big Gulp a month ago here in Texas. I am adding a Magnuson 2650 with full bolt ons and meth and seeing what we can run.

Good choice on the 2650, have you already ordered it? Its about a 10 to 12 week lead time right now. You might also consider Port Injection as I did and you won't have to worry about running out of fueling running E85. Good numbers but man you are really going to wake up your Z with the 2650. Congrats. Have you unlocked your A10? That's my next mod for the spring and I think we car run 9.60s@144 since the TM is really controlling how fast we can run right now.

Thanks for the heads up. Guessing they'll all be from 700 to 900 bucks. Waiting to see what my tax burden will be and its still cold here in Missouri so not in a big hurry.

2650 is a beast but I don't think you will gain much over a X port 1.74 until you start pushing into the 8's. Guys have the stock blower figured out and working well for 1/4 mi stuff. I would do X port and the rest of your mods. With E you can keep the timing in the engine even with higher MAT. The 2650 makes more sense if you are limited to pump gas or going all out full sausage build.

I thought you meant the 2650 kits. If you meant the TCMs then yeah I dont know who has them in stock at the moment. HHP is usually 6 weeks and its $915 shipped. At least it was before.
