Reverse Camera 2018 Camaro

I bought a breakout harness for my car to extract the video signal feed from my Rear Camera but it's not working. It just says no video signal. Does ahyone know where the video signal comes out of in the cabin? This breakout harness intercepts the HMI main harness. Is the video feed traditional cable or is it fed through the bus system? What powers the rear camera? I know the 2018 has a different connector for the camera on the rear as they changed them after 2017. I really wanna get that video signal so I can route it to a aftermarket radio. Thanks!

The camera in 2016-2018 cars sends its signal the Human Machine Interface (HMI) module under the glovebox. I'm sure it's the same for later models. I'm sure the video signal is then sent from the HMI to the display in the wiring harness, but I'm not sure in what format. It looks to me like the camera is powered any time the car is in the "run" condition, but the HMI probably doesn't send the signal to the display unless you're in reverse.

Does the breakout harness you bought intercept the video signal going into the HMI, or out of it?

I would expect a composite video signal from the 1LT camera. From the schematic above, I would expect the camera to be "on" all the time and the HMI handles video routing based on transmission position.

Make sure you don't mix up signal polarity for the video.
