VERY light LT steering wheel 6th gen, pinky finger light. Is this correct/normal?

No play, just ridiculously light to turn. On sport mode I can steer the car with my pinky fingers which is much lighter than I'm used to. Very little resistance turning the wheel left or right. Camaro forum thread by another for full context: https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=467726

"I have a really odd problem that didn't come up in my searches. My steering wheel feels like the power assist is WAY overboosted. I can practically drive my car with my pinky finger. The road feedback feeling is also pretty much disappeared. Anybody else ever have this problem?"

"Something has changed that now makes my car feel like i'm steering a '72 Cadillac. Both tour and sport mode feel way lighter than they used to. I don't have PTM modes because I'm a 'vert. I should also add that this feeling started after my last trip to the dealership. I'm wondering if they updated my BCM with glitchy firmware or something like that."

As stated exactly in the thread the power steering in my 1LT feels overboosted with little road feedback, is this how Camaro steering should ideally feel? Is this a firmware issue or what is the true source of this described issue? Thank you all for helpful responses I want to know the IDEAL steering feel from Camaro owners who've driven all trims of this model as a baseline.

You didn't say which model year your car is. The original 2016-2018 setup is light in tour mode, but definitely not Cadillac/luxury sedan/pinky finger light, and there is a very tangible difference between tour, sport and track modes. Track mode steering feels almost old school "underassisted".

Latest specs attached. I believe 1 tech recently mentioned something about FE4 suspension when I have FE2 on alignment and I believe and that may be a factor as in not being properly adjusted, I don't know taking it to the dealer.

2022, yeah sport mode feels like tour now and tour is super light like a cloud. Lack of precision and road feedback in the front steering on ALL modes, nothing but extremes with it. Taking it to the dealership to isolate what on the front end is causing this overboosting effect, it's all strange.
