Here is the timeslip for the run I recorded. I did start in 2nd and took it a little easier off the line hoping not to spin.

How do I upload the HPtuners file in either a hpl or xls file?

You have to take the hpl file and zip it. Right click the file in a Windows folder and it should say something like "compress to".... i forget the exact option text... then you can upload/attach the zip. Ill take a look later for the exact option. Im on tablet right now...

Are you running any methanol injection or supplemental port inj? What jumps out at me right away is Power Enrichment supposedly is "on", but you are still at .982 commanded eqr.

I mean.... I'll give the tuner the benefit of the doubt, but that's a scary bad mistake. A melt your engine down bad mistake if you aren't doing meth or port.... I also don't see a wideband on the log.... so if you were running meth or port inj... I could see a high commanded if you making up the diff with meth/port, but I dont see a wideband to verify.

I see IATs dropping during the run, so I would think that'd have to be meth... got a full mods list?

Yes he is running meth. But just looking at the other data I don't see how that tune can be making 760whp. 80lb/min of airflow doesn't support the numbers and the low trap speed in the 1/4 backs it up. Some of that could be the low shit point to. I would expect that setup to shift at 6800rpm. That's probably another 2-3 psi and 10-12 lb/min of airflow. Then I see 760whp all day with more timing and correct afr.

King showed me how to get the wideband reading in HPtuners, so I am going to do a couple pulls tonight 0-130. Will do one starting in in drive and another starting in 2nd.


Want to get this figured out better before I drop big bucks into more fueling with them. If I am worried about their tuning I might want to go else where or even just install the hard parts myself and do a remote tune. I think part of the issue with my tune now might be they just roll it on the dyno but never actually run it on the road. Or maybe do a deep dive like CJ did and learn to do a cal myself.

intake and throttle body


With fueling whether it be port injection or larger HP injectors/pump. Enough that I can turn up the boost a bit and more importantly be able to run flex fuel so I am not dependent on meth to supplement my fueling.

I would trust KingLT1, but damn it's nice when the understanding starts to set in on your own. I highly recommend the deep dive

Looks like your log didn't capture correctly. It was 6 seconds, all what appeared to be decel.

You can just start the log when you start the car... go drive it... and stop when you are done. There are ways to extract relevant sections of the log from a bigger log.

I also recommend using lambda instead of afr. 12.1 afr = approx .83-ish lamba... I dont know if/how meth inj will affect the afr... or what it should be unfortunately.

From looking at your 1029 log, the shift points are too low for this combination. Shift points need some work IMO.
