Washed my car today for the first time since applying a ceramic coating to the wheels. It was 80 degrees here yesterday and today. The wheels cleaned up nicely with just water and a wipe down. Now we'll see how long this stuff lasts.

Thanks! It is a great color, especially in person, as pictures really don't do it justice. I get compliments on it all the time. Even at stoplights.

That's a fact sir. When I saw mine in person for the first time I was blown away. The color just pops and the 1LE package satin black is a PERFECT contrast to the color.

So far the ceramic coating on my wheels is holding up very well. I haven't washed my car in a couple of weeks due to the cold weather, but I plan to wash it on Sunday after the rain predicted for Saturday gets out of here. I'll post another update after I wash the car.

Took the car out for a drive this morning and then gave it a good wash. The ceramic coating on the wheels is holding up great so far.

Love the choices you have made on your camaro modding adventure.

I am also planning on very similar mods once I pick up another camaro here in the next couple months. I had to sell my precious camaro during covid time do to it effecting finances for me

I’m also hoping to do something like this for the door handles.

I bought these from American Muscle. They are gloss black, but look great on my car I think. Not sure if they make a matte or satin handle or not. I like these better, IMO, since the wrap around the handles & don't just cover the front.

Thanks! It's been a fun adventure for sure. It's hard to believe it's been almost a year now since I picked up my car. I had been wanting a 1LE for several years. I remember the wait for my car. It's not fun waiting, but it will be worth it when you get the car.

I hadn't really thought about the door handles. I'll have to give that some consideration. I like the black contrasts with the Rapid Blue. At the same time I don't want to do too much. But it's definitely something to think about.

If I was going to add door handle covers, I definitely would prefer these over the ones posted above from eBay. I like the fact that the covers from American Muscle cover the top and the bottom of the handle too. Thanks for the information Damon. Those look nice installed on your car!

BTW your neighbor has some land yachts. Looks like a Buick and a Lincoln.

LOL. Yes he does, and you are correct. He also has a newer Lincoln (mid 2010's?), and and a very nice older Corvette (60's) which he sadly never drives. He has tried to sell the green Lincoln at times, but wants way too much money for it.
