Exclamation Contacting Lansing Grand River GM Plant Directly?

My car was built 2/22/2022, Was set for delivery 3/09/22, dealer received two new camaros that day... Mine was not one of them. After Dealer checked status again it just was listed as 3800 (Built no constraints or nothing) Waiting for transport. Called GM and they state it's waiting for a Jack Cooper Transport Truck, so I called the local Jack Cooper Down near the plant and they state they are waiting for the plant to release/call for pickup.

So I guess my question is... is there a way to contact the plant directly to figure out what's going on?

not sure why it missed its delivery date and never got a new one after.

My Car Did have movement, not sure if anyone knows anything about locations on the plant but it went from... OFFSITE YARD - WEST LOT (LG)(LY) and after a week (LG) at Geofence #1

I doubt you will get very far contacting the plant. I’m guessing they don’t have customer service people there to answer to customers.

I’ve been at 3800 since 3/3 also and haven’t moved. Dealer originally told me they expected mid March delivery, but when I checked in last week they had no update or explanation. I was looking up VINs on the Jack Cooper site of Camaros on Chevy’s inventory site and have seen cars ship in 1-5 weeks. I also saw one that has been built since Nov, 1SS 1LE M6 and no other options, and still hasn’t shipped, but it is paired. I know it’s hard, but just have to be patient.

Fair enough, the wait does truly kill lol, coming up on 6 months. and the fact the Plant is on 3.5 hours from my dealership... I wish I could just trailer it.....

Thanks!

I almost hate to put this out there, but if the plant shows it ready for transport and the transport company is waiting for the plant to call for a pickup, there’s a not so great consideration. Several completed cars ready for shipping were recently stolen from the marshaling lot. This has happened a couple times.

Hopefully this is not the case for your car.

Even if you get a phone number to the factory, they will tell you to contact your dealer or Chevy chat.

Do they allow customers to pick up cars from the factory?

I am in the same boat. Car built May 18. Still waiting for delivery. Dealership contacted big wigs at GM who passed the buck saying it is in the shippers hands. Not their problem.

I will never understand this shipping/allocation/luck of the draw system......

My 2023 ZL1 was produced in September, Delivered in October to me here in Canada.
It did sit at a GM transfer yard in Ingersoll Ontario for a week or so, but from build to delivery was about 6 weeks.

So far I am over 6 months since my 2022 ZL1 convertible was built. It has sat out in the weather for the entire time. Thinking seriously of saying screw it and going a different route.
