2021 ZL1 Instrument cluster shuts off randomly

3200 miles, and the digital dash has been randomly going blank and the tach and speedo quit working. I have an appt this Friday at the dealer. Just posting to see if I'm the only one with this issue. A search of this forum didnt find any other similar posts. The pic was Sunday driving down the road at 50 MPH.

Just got it back today.

Took them a few days, but when they found there was a TSB they fixed it.

Mine has done this randomly the past couple weeks but when i take it to them they cannot recreate the issue. Been trying to get a picture or video but by the time i get my phone out and the camera on it fixes itself or shows similar to yours with no speed or RPMs. mines a 2021 SS.

My 21 1SS 1LE cluster cut off about 4 times today while in the interstate. The HUD did not come back on. I had to kill the car at a stop light then the HUD came back on. This is not the first time but it is the the first time it went out that many times. This is the third time. The first two, it only blinked once. I bought the car new in Nov. 2020, with 5 miles on it. Now I have 8100 miles. If it does it again, I'm going straight to the dealership.

My 2021 SS did the same exact same thing. took it to the dealer and they told me it was do to having something plugged into the odb port and reprogrammed the ecu. When I took it in for an oil change a couple months ago they did another reprogram for a recall they said it was for the dash reboot problem. It did it again a few times after the first re-flash then I unplugged my range device and it never did it again.

My ‘22 ZL1 had a similar issue where the analog gauges worked but I had nothing on the digital dash. No gear number or blinkers. It’s happened to me once in 675 miles so far. Anyone else had this issue?

Also since my car was built in April ‘22 is it safe to assume it had the recall mentioned above already performed? Thoughts?

Thanks for the TSB noted above.

My 22 ZL1 did this once several months ago. Never again. Once is an anomaly; more times an issue. Hope it's not the latter.

Add me to the list. Dash went out today, 22 2 SS. Nothing in ODB port ever. Cut it off, opened door, closed it, waited a while. Started it up, still blank dash, no HUD either. Drove home sad. Gonna try again tonight.

21 ZL1 just did it today first time. 5k miles. Ironically today I had new plugs and MSD wires installed. I couldn’t find anything wrong under hood but I did have my HPTuners device plugged into obd2. I decided to flash the car again to see what happens. And that seemed to stop it. No more DTCs. This is what I was seeing for codes.

Once again the forum saves the day. Came out from dinner, fired the red rocket up and no instrument cluster display. I tried turning off the car, opening the door and restarting it several times but still no joy. While driving home (to try the battery disconnect trick) it magically came back to life. TSB has been printed and I will call my dealer this week to get it taken care of during my second and last free oil change unless it starts making this a regular habit. Car is a 2021 that I purchased in early May with 65 miles on it and it has 1400 miles on it now.

Happened to mine and got the whole cluster replaced by warranty. Take it to the dealer and let them know to check for any bad fuse.
