I think some of the money was spent on the one we have seen with the CC brakes, if it true then it's not a lot more to go.

Going NA, you have already shed the weight of the supercharger and it's components, you wouldn't need all of the radiators that the ZL1 or ZLE has, do a rear seat delete, replace body panels with carbon fiber panels, or very least fiberglass, and I'm sure there are some other creature comforts that could be deleted also. It's possible to do but if GM is going to kill off the Camaro again, then I doubt they will spend money on R&D for a Z/28.
True you are going to lose the weight of the supercharger.

a ZLE I think only weighs like 3800 and change and the SS1LE is like 3700 and change. I just think once you start deleting stuff, or going lightweight it's gonna sky rocket the price and just won't make sense.

I work at a chevy dealer and very much doubt there will be a z28. like a bunch of people said, issue would be price. With the c8 starting at 60 and the zl1le at 70 there would be almost no one that would buy a z28 is it was more than that. Also the 5th gen z28 was amazing but no one wanted to pay for it. Everyone offered 20-30k under MSRP

May be if you post pics of the car, with some info about it in the same add , fix what need to be done, some one will buy it till then it will not sale, and what does a Virus have to do with our cars.

Not to bean counters. I could see them dropping the le option, and replacing it as the z28 and charging more money for the same car and z28 badges.

I agree. I would love to be wrong and see it but I just don't see where it could fit in the current line up.

I agree, and it is a shame. The Z/28 badge has a long history with Camaro.

The only spot I could see for it would be to put the N/A LT1 in the ZLE chassis with the DSSV suspension. It would be parallel to what they do with Corvette, putting the LT1 in the Z06 Chassis. Price it a tick above the SS 1LE.

The only reason I see GM doing anything like this would be if they had an overrun of LT1 engines since the Corvette is no longer using them. Which I suspect had a little to do with the Gen 5 Z/28. But it seems they went the other way and put the LT1 in six banger chassis.

Sorry all. Never gonna happen. No money to be made and pony cars with V8's are not the future. I'd wager we'll see an electric Camaro like the Mustang SUV thingy before we ever see a Z/28. And they certainly aren't going to care that a bunch of forum people say they'll buy one.
