Good to know on the Apex option. 0.5" less width up front isn't a huge deal and I suspect the rears would be the same story.
You running any events anytime soon?

Does anyone have experience mounting 325x30x19 Hoosier R7s on the front of a ZL1 1LE?

I'm thinking of running 325x30x19s on the front and 345x30x19s on the rear. I'm reasonably confident the rears will work just fine. I'm a little less confident about the fronts.

Texas Motor Speedway infield on 7/13, then probably nothing until COTA in October. You?

I will be mounting some 305/680/18 Contis on the front of my ZL1 1LE this week. The section width of the Conti is ~13.5 inches, which is fairly close to the 325 Hoosier you're hoping to fit up front. I will let you know what happens.

The 315's are actually a bit wider than the 325's in the A7 / R7. The 345's are barely wider than the G3R 325. I'd run 315's on all four or 315 / 345 - I tried a scrub set of that combo - the 315's were great, the 345's junk, though both supposedly had the same # of heat cycles.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this.

Is this because of the "Measuring Rim Width"? According to the width specs alone the 325s are certainly wider, but I did see the 315s are standardized to an 11" wheel while the 325s are standardized to a 13" wheel.

Anyone have a side-by-side picture?

I don't have a picture but definitely pay attention to the tread width and section width of the tire when you are making a decision. The section width is usually the widest, and reflects the distance from the inside sidewall to the outside sidewall.

You running with TDE this coming weekend?

It's because Hoosier is horrible with the accuracy on their road course tires just like they were when I drag raced. An old thread about differences though the 325 R7 was on a 11.5 vs. 12". I have seen them on a 12", and they're still a bit narrower than the 325 G3R. A 345 R7 mounted on a ZL1 1LE 12" was around 5mm wider than a 325 G3R on the same rim at the same pressure.

I'm running the Texas Motor Speedway infield with "The List," a fairly new HPDE group.

I saw that one and opted to Cresson 1.7 CCW. I have yet to run this direction in the ZLE and with the times it put down on 1.7 CW, I really want to see how it goes in normal direction. Hopefully can get a few sessions before it gets way too hot to matter.

The 1.7 CCW is a blast! It does look like it's going to be a hot weekend, stay safe out there. Are you still running the same set of 3Rs?

The new wheels arrived today. Initial impressions are good. I was very impressed with how well the wheels are packaged to avoid damage in shipping.

The rears weigh 24 lbs 10 oz each and the fronts weigh 24 lbs 12 oz each. That's as pictured with the center cap (0.7 oz) and the BC Forged valve stem.

I'll post some more pictures once they're mounted on the car.
