Your stock plug wires will be fine, just make sure there are no contact points, put sleeves on the plugs if you want be extra careful.

all i can say about plug wires is that i tried 2 different sets of msd and removed both because they would back off the coil 1 click after running the car. ultimately bought granatelli wires.
i have 2" se headers, i tried the stock wires and there is no way they would've worked, even with sleeves. there were two cylinders, i want to say 3 & 5, that the boot physically would not go on on the plug. i forced one on #3 and demolished it with pliers trying to remove it.

I appreciate the input. But when I go to speed engineering's website they ask if u want to add spark plug wires but you can select 10 or 12 inch...

perhaps you need to measure the ones you have and make your own decision?

I’ve Been going through the same question that you asked. In the end, I went with speed engineering 12 inch wires because I figured it was better to “have and not need” versus “need and not have”. Plus, a couple other awesome members on the site recommended the 12” wires if headers were going to be added. I looked all over for them and ended up finding some today at Michigan Motorsports. I also picked up some ARP stainless steel 12-point header bolts for my upcoming install. Here’s the details if you need them…. Good luck with your build.. https://www.michiganmotorsports.com/...0-6-2-engines/ https://www.michiganmotorsports.com/...ainless-steel/ |

The 12" for any long or mid length headers. The extra length gives you a little more movement to turn away from the header tubes. I've run them on my 16ss, my 16 C7 and they are the best wires I've run. I don't have them on my Lt1 because I have stock manifolds.

I used 12" with my headers along with plug wire boots, but 2" LT headers vs 1 7/8ths
