So I have been waiting for delivery of my 22 ZL1 Camaro. Car was built and complete May 18. Multiple eta’s and now (today was the last given eta) no eta and no-one knows where the car is. The computer says the rail yard but the computer also said it would be here in October. �� GM claims they released it to the shipper and the shipper is….well the shipper.

Of course I have been frustrated watching 23’s get delivered and GM seemingly not giving a rats ass about finishing 2022 deliveries.

The dealer has been excellent and as of the other day gave me the option to snag a 2023 C8 70th Anniversary edition instead (buyer backed out so I am not screwing any body out of their car). The deal will be a very fair deal and I have accepted the reality that the ZL1 was not meant to be. The C8 is in transit and will be here in a week or so. I appreciate the dealer making a customer happy even when the issue is not theirs to resolve.

Shout out to Brady at Murray Cadillac in Medicine Hat Alberta for all the help with this deal.

That is a great result for you. If you aren't thrilled with the C8, I'm sure you will be able to sell with little or no loss and move on. Good for you.

Sorry you didnt get the car you wanted, but hope you soon forget about the ZL1 once your C8 arrives.

I would also pass on the ZL1 that's been sitting in the sun for 6 months. Far enough from 'factory new' that it may as well be a used car at this point IMO.

Agreed. And it is a convertible so the rag top has taken a trashing from mom nature.

6 months is plenty of time for varmints to move in destroy.

Thats crazy. Glad to see your able to at least get something that makes you happy.. The fact this is happening is the reason why so many people will have a bad taste with GM.. Sad they are pulling crap like this.

I understand the entire COVID thing messed stuff up.. But if these car are your "Sports car" and your "High end" vehicles.. you Think they would take better care.

i heard of someone returning their loaded Extended Escalade because the mice got into it so bad at the yard it was beyond repair.

Enjoy your Vette!! You wont regret that car!

Sucks you didn't get the Camaro, but if the C8 suits you, then good luck with it. I sat in one at the Corvette fest last year and it was way too cramped for me. I need the recline of the driver's seat. I think if I couldn't get a Camaro though, I'd have to look for a C6 Vette, still my favorite style.

You're going to fall in love with the Vette. It's a pleasure to drive and a real 'head turner'.

That being said, nothing like that ZL1 engine!

Dealer just informed me it is now a week away. And yes it is fresh. Built late September.
