Hello Everyone
I've never really joined any forums so please be patient with me. I just recently purchased a 2015 Camaro SS. I've never owned a car like this so I guess I'm really in need of some advice on how to upkeep it.
I bought this from a dealer and he said it had a lot of aftermarket things done to it. He said heads, cam, valve springs, cold air exhaust etc. I looked at the the stamp on the heads and it pulled up OEM heads for the LS3 motor. Now obviously I know the parts inside could be aftermarket but the casing is not. So to be honest I'm not sure what all is done to it. I can say for certain it has aftermarket cold air intake, exhaust, an aggressive cam, I'm pretty certain the valve springs. It runs amazing more car then I could ever ask for. With the car having some mild upgrades does it change what oil to run in the car? Ive read that a car with an aggressive cam should have the valve springs checked every year or two. Is this true? I bought a bada** car and I just want to take care of it. Any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated. On a side note there is a LSX shop about an hour away from me. I thought about letting them check the tune on the car and look it over to make sure it doesn't need anything. She just ticked over 100k miles. **Attached a photo of the new ride. CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!
