Tire suggestions?

My stock goodyear tires are about done so l am looking into what tires to get next. I have dedicated winter tires so looking at summer or aggressive all season tires. Any suggestions? Also would 245/45/20 tires work on the stock RS wheels rather than the usual 245/40/20?

Well if you have a winter tire sets then get a summer set not all season. There’s a wide variety of selection of tires out there and is usually based on how much money your willing to spend. Myself I was not happy with tire selection till I went to the R888’s and I would recommend them. Edit: I was basing this off thinking you where a SS but the 245’s are a sign your not.

Take a look at the Nitto 211070 | Nitto NT555 G2 Tires - 245/45R20

The sjighly taller tire would work, but will throw the speedometer off a little

Price these out. Dedicated summer performance tires were more expensive than UHP all-seasons when I shopped. Probably due to lower demand for summer-only.
I like having all-seasons for summer. With those you can be lazy about when to switch over in fall. With the harder summer-only rubber you have to worry as soon as it gets cold. If I lived in florida year-round, then, yeah, summer tires would be it.

I agree with everybody saying do a bit of research - there's no "best tire" - you'll have to better understand and tell us what you want out of a tire before we can help you.

In terms of a 45 series tire vs a 40, why do you want a taller tire? Is there a particular reason or is there just some tire that's not available in the smaller size?

If you really need the best dry/wet street and road course tire, these two tires (Michelin and Continental) work really well https://tirereviewsandmore.com/miche...xtremecontact/

The Nitto 555RII also might work for you.

My experience is that the stock Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R are basically dry track-only.

^^^ I suspect that OP's Goodyears aren't the 'R' kind.

aaron - taller tires on the same wheels will generally feel "softer" for both ride quality (maybe a good thing) and cornering response/steering precision (not such a good thing). They'll also sit the car up a little higher, and it'll probably be by enough to notice as you get in and out.

They also take up more space, which is something you'll have to consider if you have any thoughts of lowering the car.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. No reason to change aspect ratio, stay with factory specification.

Agree with the above reply! Just get the factory sizes and drive on. You can do a size comparison on TireSize.com to see the difference in width and height of the size you are thinking about getting verses the stock OEM size.

Doesn't this forum have moderators to move posts into correct forums?

So all new Camaro owners should do a search and not post a question because it’s been covered before?

Meh, don't worry about it, just post up your questions. Lot of helpful people here who don't mind answering similar questions more than once or point out the threads with answers. The search feature on this forum engine isn't exactly awesome either.
