Cancelling my 1LE - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I just found out that delivery times for 1LE's are at least 13 weeks which is 5 weeks longer than I was originally told when I placed my order. I'm thinking about cancelling the order altogether now and just waiting for a 2014.

My do sales people BS their customers like this?

Yep! Its all the Sales Peoples fault nothing to do with build or order delays.

Depending on your preference you might want to wait out for the 2013. I can't image it would take that long though. Still less time than I waited. I had to wait 6 months.

Wait.. Your not happy about the build time wait on a 2013 1LE, but your willing to wait for a 2014 that's going to be an even longer?

How long since you ordered? You will probably be waiting at least twice as long for a 2014. Is it worth the wait?

i just had one built and delivered in 7 weeks....and that included a week and half weather delay....they don't take any longer to build and ship than any other car now that the weather is better

Honestly, I've never quite understood the 1LE concept to begin with and am surprised Chevy is continuing it in the 2014 MY. Is it a SS? Is it not a SS? Is it a ZL1 without the supercharger? Is it a Z/28 without the LS7? I think I know the answers to those questions technically but I just pose them because I feel as though the general public wouldn't know and that this sub-model suffers from kind of an identity crisis. I'm just it's a great car but...

Well I think it's a mix of all the above. It will be the poor mans Z/28 now. Only thing I like about the 1LE is the wheels. Other then that just get an SS and upgrade the weak links with aftermarket parts.

Might be padding the delivery time too, that way they say 13 weeks and it gets here in 8they look good. If they told you 8 weeks and it took 13 might annoy you a little more.

Nope it's on the books for 2014
