Bug guts stain
I have a bug gut stain on Xpel ppf. It was on there about 48 hours before I got it off. But now if you look at the place just right you can see the stain.
I tried denatured alcohol, no luck, still there. Is there a fix for this or will it need to be replaced? |

According to XPel you can use bug and tar remover. Maybe give that a try

Da polisher and a good polish. I have xpel on my front end and just polished out water spots 2 weeks ago. Keep the pad moist with a quick detail spray, keep the pad moving constantly and not much pressure.

I used Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover before on my beater Accord to clean all the dead mosquitos off. Worked pretty well.

I tried a ton of things, no luck. I then used Meguires compound safe for clear coat and worked perfectly. Then follow Glen E's regime.

Love bugs are a PITA here as well.
+1 Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover. Use a light trigger finger to put little dollop on each bug, wait 3 minutes, and wipe away. Great stuff! For those folks who don't know what love-bugs are, see below. This too can be yours for as little as 100 miles of driving on the highway in the gulf states when they're swarming (a couple times per year depending on the location). |
