Because he can tune it and fix the issue.

I can tell you for a fact that it is in the tune, last weekend i went for a drive and i tried to get the car to bog on purpose launching it at 1k rpm but it didn't bog the tires broke loose and it was spin city.I'm running nittos nto5R's drag radials on the stock wheels, before it wanted to bog even when taking off from a light if you didn't give it enough RPM when taking off.

I’m mot trying to be a smart ass. I just want to be sure I understand the intricacies of this tunning stuff.

I feel like I need an engineering degree to understand the tuning principles in these cars.
It is in the tune.We have been messing with it for a year now making changes until we finally found where the issue was in the tune. like some else mention gm do that so you don't break the drive train.

I can understand GM programs this in to preserve the drivetrain, but why is the threshold set so low? If it’s being triggered when pulling away normally and there’s no chance of breaking anything, it makes no sense. This seems like a programming mistake that could easily be fixed. Why have so many dissatisfied customers and deter future buyers? I’ve been considering a ZL1, but this issue put me off.

This^^^

I'm in the market for a fun toy, and had my eyes set on a Pre-19' refresh Gen6 ZL1, but after seeing, and hearing these stories, I've decided the ZL1 isn't right for me. :(

I wouldn't let this bog issue deter you from buying this car. it seems like we've found a solution.

plus the rest of the car's performance and looks makes up for the slight annoyance of the bog.

That wield had been much easier than posting pm this guy.

"My buddy has figured a way to improve or eliminate the bog with a tune. If you are interested PM my buddy"

Nice easy and solves the issue of you posting that 100 times.
