Any mod suggestions?

Hey everyone!

I just recently purchased my dream car! A 2018 2SS 1LE 6-speed in bright yellow! First V8 and first manual car, I am super stoked. I am already planning on getting it ceramic-coated. I ordered the ZL1 Addons deluxe rock guards and the stealth jack lift pads. And was just curious to see what other mods or suggestions you guys have! I am looking more at the appearance, general use, and protection side of things over the power mods like superchargers, turbos, etc.

Most power mods will make you slower around a track, unless you go much further with suspension/wheels/tires.

The best bang for the buck is probably ZL1 1LE wheels/tires or another 19" setup for 305-ish square.

The car is pretty well sorted. People do a lot of mods that don't really do anything, like intakes that simply bypass the factory silencing and they think they are getting more power because it's louder. Full headers to exhaust with a tune can be good, because you are generally saving weight and slight bump in the power.

Also think about if you ever want to race on a track. They generally limit your mods, else you go into an "unlimited" class where anything goes and people will generally have something way way more optimized than your car. Like for AutoX you can change one wheel size (diameter) and that can make a big difference...but you do other stuff and it can kick you out of that class. Again, the car is very well sorted from the factory. It doesn't need much if anything to be competitive, just the usual brake fluid change, fluids, etc...

I would keep it NA. Do headers, E85, and a tune.

OP, congratulations! You are going to love the 1LE.

I agree. Side skirts are a nice addition, both appearance wise as well as functionally. They help protect the sided of the car from the debris the wide tires throw up. I highly recommend the rock guards you mentioned to go along with them. I have ACS rock guards and side skirts on my 1LE.

If you don't intend to compete in a specific class, but do plan on doing track days, get some adjustable rear toe links with the eccentric lock-out kit. They're fairly inexpensive.

I suggest...

1. PPF before ceramic...
2. Quality Tint to taste...
3. E85 + RotoFab + Tune...

Lot's more to go from there, but a great starting point.

Lloyd floor mats. No comparison to OEM.

Some may prefer the ZL1 skirt style, though.
