Truth be told, it only needs to be 660 feet if you plug it in at the mid-point instead of one end....

Smart man. Nice

Edit update:

The color name of the carpet is mist gray. I am presently ordering 3 yards in order to get a perfect match. The black carpet was a leftover from another cars project.

Well I finished revision II now, still not totally happy with it but its getting better IMO. I added the rubber boot and got rid of the stock plastic holder. Reminds me off old school shifters back in the day. I need to get the matching medium ash grey carpet. Hard to come by.

Just like adding a few HP from different mods - it all adds up, plus don’t worry I will visit the washroom before the race. Wink wink.

They've had some awesome episodes with that C4. Look for it on Roadkill too.

Just for perspective, you can also get 9 pounds by having an empty washer bottle or putting 1 less gallon of gas in the tank.

If your Camaros primary purpose is for you to enjoy 10 seconds at a time, strip the interior. For me? Your console removal is not detectable in the 1/4 mile results and degrades the interior in a big way.

But, it's your car and if this is the customization that fits your vision then that's the only thing that matters and my opinion is simply a post in this thread.

Enjoy the process.

Its like HP all the little mods added up together with the big HP adders, it's the same with weight reduction they all add up in the end to make a difference. Some people just choose to add more power and not do anything in regards to weight reduction. I am doing both. This car is just a hobby for myself to enjoy on the track, I actually get a lot of enjoyment in the build process. Some just don't understand that which is fine with me.

Just out of curiosity, if your intention was to create a drag car, why choose the 1LE as your starting point? Wouldn't a non-LE 1SS have been a better value (less weight and money)?

November 2019 last Camaro at the dealership and no one wanted the Shock Color, plus remember the 2019 front end was not that desirable. The dealership discounted the 1LE to the point that the 1LE package was free. I couldn’t say no to that deal and that’s how I got this car. Also I will give road course a try in the up coming year, minus the NOS bottles

Weigh difference is not that much. 57 - 69 lbs , (Lt1 diff is 135lb)

SS weigh -3685 / 1671 (manual – coupe) 3697 / 1697 (automatic – coupe)

1LE weight - 3754 lbs

LT1 V8 weight 3619 / 1642 – LT1 manual

Version 3

Added the rubber boot and change of carpet Color. Still searching for that stock medium ash grey carpet, hard to come by. I have relocated the usb, parking, cigarette power holder and mod buttons in glove box for now. Will have to make some sort of panel for them in glove box.

Some of you may ask why I am doing this, it’s almost like going down a rabbit hole. You just have to keep going. Besides I don’t like the same cookie cutter builds out there, different is what I am after, plus this set up reminds me of old school shifters back in the day. Just a transmission hump and a shifter, it feels very different and wide open without the console.

My first impression was in made the area feel a lot bigger and unrestricted. Like I said it’s not for everyone and this car is for the track both drag and circuit racing.

BTW this mode is very easy to put back to normal.
Can you take a few more pics but from further back? I kinda like it. Looks old school.
