Dyno Results: Fully built N/A LT1

Last 4 months have felt like an eternity, but she's finally ready to hurt some feelings in mexico.

Had to weld-repair both heads, replace the sleeve on cylinder 6, & replace all intake valves with ferrea hollow stems.
Threw in a set of forged diamond pistons and Callie's steel h-beam. BTR double .660 valve springs, chromly pushrods, trunion upgraded rocker arms, LS7 lifters
Gapped clearances with consideration for nitrous later on.
Cam phasers are locked out.

Did 250 miles for break-in with Joe Gibb's break-in oil, flushed it and put in some 15-40 VR1.

Don Hardy built the shortblock, Speedtek did the machine work on the heads & put in the motor, Andy Moye @Primetuning tuned the car.

I'm pretty happy with the results. Car drives great, very little bucking which is amazing considering the cam. Idle still needs touching up, but other than that..

She put down 576/470 @7000 w/E85 on a dynojet
The little blip at the end of the graph is from wheelspin. Guess it's time for some slicks

Nice! I would like to get 600h.p. out of mine.
While the engine was apart IMO, I would have put a Callies 4.00" stroke crankshaft.

Did you stay with the stock cubes? Great numbers, I met Don Hardy at Sema, builds some wicked motors and his dad used to build some really wicked drag cars.

It would be nice to a SAE graph as there is no such thing as STD horsepower unless we are talking unicorns...

Yes, Don did a light hone, but I don't think that really effects displacement.
Yeh Don was great to deal with, I'll def be going back to him.

I considered stroking it. But this cam loves revs, we've got extra clearance from the butterfly-style pistons, & I like hearing it scream. So we stayed with a stock stroke. Boring it out might not have been a bad idea..

Speedtek is in ftw, Andy tunes out of several shops in north Texas. You just gotta reach out to him on fb.

I will dyno in Austin, DSX was here, AFAIK, no central texas dyno and or tuners, at least none that come with a recommendation. Houston and Dallas. So share you tuning dyno experience...

Yeh just about all the good LS/LT tuners are in the DFW or Houston/Katy area.

Y2k, 21st Century, AMP, LG, & Speedtek are the heavy hitters in DFW.

Andy took 3 tuning sessions to get the car how I wanted it. Each time he improved on the tune. He charged 1 flat rate in the beginning and never asked for more. I'll be going back to him for my nitrous tune.

My 2nd choice would be AMP's or 21st's tuner. I can't recall their names, but everyone likes both of em.

Pretty sweet!
I've done business with Don hardy for 8yrs to date. Hands down a great engine builder.
Spedtek is also a great shop. They built my turbo Denali back in 2010.
