A8 - Hesitation putting car into gear - Cold

Anyone having issues putting the car into D when the car is cold. Mine either hesitates before it "grabs" into gear or bucks. Does it probably 95% of the time when the car is cold. Reverse seems to be fine when I back out of my garage, even when the car is cold.

Same on my 2017 SS2, the transmission fluid is cold. Let it warm up for a min.

Yes let it warm up a bit first...these cars get up to temp quick anyway.

I have let it warm up for a few mins, still does it then, not every time but a good portion of the times.

What mode are you in? I find mine does it in Touring mode, while Sport mode does it less, if at all.

BTW: Manual doesn't say so, but if you turn car off in Track or Snow/Ice modes, it starts in Touring mode. Sport mode stays on when you start it...

I usually leave it in sport all the time, so it starts up in sport. I have tried different modes and makes no difference.

I have the same issue on my 16 2SS A8. Happens regardless of what mode. Family member had a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali w/ 6.2 with same issue (very low miles at the time) and got a new transmission under warranty back in late 16/early 17..
