Stage 1 opinion
https://www.davenportmotorsports.com...720hp-package/
Thinking about doing the stage one but it’s basically just an 18% lower, Lingenfelter LT1/LT4 dry sump damper and a really good tune for $3750 US. I know these guys are really good tuners but the price still seems a little steep. I don’t need the Roto fab because I have an elite carbon series already. Is the 70 HP worth the price? |

Is that on 93 tho? How are they picking up 70hp with those bolt ons and no fuel mods?

That ain't gonna be 70whp and $4k is way too much for a pulley, RF and tune.

If it's drag racing, you'll need more power to really have an edge there--set a higher goal like 200 WHP. If it's street driving and increasing the level/thrill of acceleration at on-ramps or other places you can do this without getting caught by popo, I would say 70 HP is not worth losing your powertrain warranty. If it's improving perf on straights on road course, also not worth voiding warranty... unless you're a great driver there is so much room for improvement in turns with these amazing cars in stock form, you'll make much bigger gains in lap times doing that. |

I'd call TED @ Janetty Racing and check out his 125rwhp package.

Thanks for the feedback, anything over E10 that I know of is 185 miles away so 94 is the best I got in my small little town of 1.25 million. Go figure?

Like has been said, what are your goals. Agree with Gunk on this too much money for what you are getting in return.

Actually the power figures are probably spot-on. This package was never advertised as a 70WHP gain, it says 720hp which is crank HP so this would be about a 60whp gain. Using a 18% lower is going to put this car very close to 15psi of boost, maybe even slightly above which is quite a lot on stock cooling and 93 octane especially with no headers to help with some of the boost pressure. I think the power figures are certainly accurate but I would question the long term reliability of this package. That's a lot of boost without upgraded cooling and headers, heat soak WILL be an issue here. I do agree with everyone though that its quite costly for the parts being installed.

I agree call Ted at Jannetty Racing! I got a quote from them for the 125 HP Package and the option to add on the Terminator package. Great reputation, better mods, better options, less money, they worked with me over email and phone anytime I call! I wish they were in Ohio vs CT!

FLex sensor, ported blower, headers, remote tune.
Should be able to do all that for less than that Davenport package and net double the peak gains on a cold pull and triple the gains after back to back pulls. Stock blower cars with pulleys on pump gas are not efficient. They make 1 pull at full power then drop 20-30whp on the second pull and can be down 50-60whp after 3 pulls. On E I can keep all the timing in your engine after several pulls and you might only be down 15-20whp after multiple pulls. So the power is FAR more consistent aside from peak gains. If you don't have E85 in your area order it by the drum. Mix it in your pump gas for around E50. There is no better bang for the buck on these cars.

Road coursing with ported blower and E... Is it even worth considering? How much gain with X port, E, headers, CAI, TB? |
