Motor Trend Best Drivers Car
I am surprised we did not start the conversation about Camaro did not make the Motor Trend top 12 Best Drivers car list for 2019. Challenger and Shelby made it, What Happened? I believe the fact that Chevy is not going to commit resources to future development might have dissuaded them!

This article didn't say who won, but I think from reading some other stuff that it's going to be the C8 Corvette.
There are some pretty good cars on that list. Although I wouldn't agree with the philosophy, I think the Camaro was there in previous lists, but other than some bumper and taillight changes, the Camaro is still the same, nothing fresh and exciting. Note about the article, it mentioned the Red Eye about not being able to take a narrow twisty at full "chat". At 797 HP, pretty much only a purpose built road race car is going to be able to do that, and certainly not many, if any MotorTrend journalists. |

The link at the bottom says who won. C8 wasn't a contender, neither was the GT500. Next year's competition should be fun with those two available.

The Camaro did not make it because nothing is new. They only do new cars. You can make an arguement they could have used the 4 cyl 1le and zl1 1le a10 since that package is new this year. But how many of those are actually sold?
They've already done V6 1le Ss 1le Both zl1 models Other than a base ss everything has been covered in the camaro lineup. Last edited by BluinSC; 10-30-2019 at 08:37 AM. |

Does anyone have motor trend access on this website? There's a vid on the non R 350 time at Laguna. I'm curious what the time on that was as people have suspected for a while the SS 1LE is at least competitive with if not faster.
