What list...

Well... about the list , i was taking note of the 2020 ZL1's being produced with the PBC LT4 engines that had an engine builder plaque on them... but i have stopped doing so after the response i got from GM.

At first i thought the 2020 Camaro ZL1's that had these plaqued engines were somewhat uncommon and that they were to be rare... and that they could possibly have more value in the future. I first thought that it could have been caused by a supply issue caused by the strike, and that C7 Corvette Z06's were no longer being produced and that the Corvette plant had LT4 engine surplus... but that does not apply because the LT4's in Camaro's are different wet sump variants. Hence the mystery...

So... I wrote a letter to GM asking info on why some 2020 Camaro ZL1's had the ''engine builder plaque'' on them and that others did not..., and it seems that ALL the future Camaro ZL1's will have these hand-built ''plaqued'' engines from bowling green PBC.

The answer as to why not all 2020 have these ''plaqued'' engines from the PBC is because the Lansing Michigan assembly plant was depleteing what was left in they're inventory of non-plaqued LT4's.

Hope this answers your question mlee

take care buddy
This answer seems to be not very serious if it à thé case.... I mean it’s nor very professionnal.... so that also Means that we could ask our plaque To gm following thé zl1 year version you get ... no?

I don't quite understand what your trying to say Yves ZL1...

I do not think GM will supply previous owners with these plaques.

Like i stated in my previous post... that was the response i received from a representative of the GM Heritage center... that POSSIBLY all future Camaro ZL1's to be produced from mid-2020 and onwards will have these hand-built LT4's from the Corvette Plants Performance Build Center (PBC) in Bowling Green Kentucky.

We'll see if this proves to be true with the new Camaro's coming out.

Hey! By the way... i think today is the first day for the beginning of 2021 year Camaro production.

Take care

I ordered my Rally Green ZLE on 9-6-2019. GM went on strike and I wasnt notified it was delivered until 11-25-2020. Picked up that weekend. Engine plaque reads "Jennifer Montgomery" Car has a build date of 11-19-2020.

Well Yves ZL1... you can try to get a plaque from GM, maybe the GM Heritage center can help.

You can reach them at gmheritagecenter.com ... go to bottom of the home page and click on "contact us" and submit your request.

Or try Chevrolet.com and go on Chevy chat... and ask. On chevy chat... the best person to chat with is Margaret , she has always been very helpful and very resourceful.

By the way... i imagine that you must be the only guy to have a ZL1 in France! Your car must surely attract a lot of attention. Cool !

Take care buddy

Hi GreenZLE... your car was built 5 days after mine, but i have a regular ZL1.

The ZL1 1LE versions with the "plaqued" hand-built LT4's are somewhat very rare... seeing that the 1LE versions are already produced in limited quantities to start with.

I don't think i have your last 5 digits of your VIN in my notes though.

So far i've been able to acquire info on 15 2020 model year ZLE's with "plaqued" LT4's ... 2 are green... with yours that would be 3.

Take care

Andrew

I think its to try to track build dates for cars with hand built engines.

What looks to make this a bit more challenging is GM's methodology of numbering cars doesnt appear to be exactly consecutive.
