So I did my 2017 sound deadening this weekend. I used the 80mil Noico from Amazon. I used about 100 square feet for both doors, the trunk, and the floors (front and rear). Not easy to get into some of the places.

My fingers and wrists are a bit achy but no big deal.

Took me about 14 hours of actual working time from beginning to end.

Not sure yet about sound improvement as I haven't driven the car yet (just finished). But I have no doubt it will help a lot especially with road noise.

I decided to do the sound proofing right now because I also changed the stock run-flats to some Continental DWS06+'s and the tires helped a lot with both noise and the firm ride.

Agree. I used this post as a guide to do my 2017.

And it really helps the interior of the car. Its quieter, there are less rattles, and the Bose sound system sounds better.

I drove from Erlanger, KY to south Louisiana and back (2000 miles) and the sound level was significantly quieter on the drive.

Great write up, I just learned a lot that I needed to know about disassembly. Car looks great, too. I’ve used Dynomat in a couple of my cars but it’s heavy.

One thing worth adding is when the seats come out make sure to put the seat back after taking the bolts out of the rear of the track. It makes it smaller and easier to get out of the car without damaging the sills. Headrest out first, then the seat.

Missing Images (Awesome write up though!)

The images stopped being available in this forum post. I finally decided to pull the trigger so now I’m flying a bit blind.

The descriptions are detailed enough though, great post!
