Out of curiosity, has anyone here gotten rear object sensors retrofitted by the dealer into a previously delivered Camaro?

mine was built in April, picked it up in May, haven't heard a peep about getting my backup sensors or heated/AC seats retrofitted.

I noticed no back up alert - later retrofit.
My 2SS does have heated/cooled seats and a heated steering wheel. Built 1/2022

For cars that shipped without Rear Backup sensors .. are the sensors actually mounted in the rear bumper already and they just done function? Seems crazy if later retrofit would also have to install new bumper as well.

I would think the components are in, the seats, steering wheel, bumper etc... it is just a module that is missing.

Not looking to hijack this thread but on the same page, did GM charge you guys for missing components at the time of sale?

I have a 2018 , but saw a few recent invoices with a $50 credit for a missing component. Not sure what happens when the dealer eventually installs these, they may well charge that $50 to the customer.

Type-O? $500 to reinstall, yes that I believe.

When I did all the paperwork with rebates/add-ons/etc, there was a line item for -$50 due to the missing rear park sensor. There was also an extra form that the dealership had me sign that looks like it came from GM, acknowledging that the car didn't have the parts and that the price would be reduced by $50.

I believe that when components are available the dealer is supposed to perform the install for nothing. After all you already paid for the feature. The $50 is some small compensation for not having what you paid for and for having to bring it the dealer to get the missing features installed.

Almost nothing surprises me anymore, but this is supposed to be a free retrofit after all

This is the same information I have heard; I concur.
