Intake valve, combustion cleaner

Has anyone tried this product? I just passed 30K miles and think it is likely that my car would benefit from this but I don’t know if this actually works or is just a modern day version of snake oil

TIA for any feedback from users of this product

How are you guys using the SeaFoam? We have DI engines. Fuel (and therefore seafoam) never touches the backside of the valves.

I use it in all my non-DI cars.

Thanks to the government a pale imitation of what it once was. Sadly with them all being neutered it is still on of the better ones out there :-( Miss good 'ole GM Top Engine Cleaner to.

If you look at the can in @2SS Capt's post, you see that it has a thin nozzle. You are supposed to attach it to the intake accordion tube, then you hold down the nozzle while another person revs the engine for you, so it should pass by the intake valves.

Seafoam also has something like that. See it in action here:

Now whether or not we need that, I can't say. Usually German DI engines tend to have trouble after a while(and you need the walnut shell blasting) while a lot of Japanese DI engines seem to do fine.

fwiw i pulled my stock intake manifold again @ 20k miles. there was nothing collecting on the valve itself but the stem had a little gunk on it. i wouldn't be overly concerned with buildup unless you drive miss daisy everywhere. my car sees it's fair share of high rpm.
