Borla Long Tube Headers?

Anyone here running the Borla headers? I'm thinking of running them with their S type exhaust on my '18SS. Any issues? Performance figures vs other headers? I don't plan on going forced induction, just some basic bolt on mods. Intake, headers, exhaust and a tune is my immediate plan. Open to suggestions on combos. I don't want anything as aggressive as the atak though.

I’m sure the quality is ok but they are only 1 3/4 last I checked. They will be down on power. I wouldn’t go with Borla for that reason

They're still in stock at several places and I've always had great luck with Borla products. Seems like a decent price too.

Seems like anything bigger than 1 3/4 primaries would be overkill on an N/A setup? I may be wrong about that though. I don't plan on going supercharged or anything like that. You guys might laugh at me for this but it seems like with an intake, headers, exhaust and a tune this car would be PLENTY fast enough for a daily driven street car.

I thought like you too, but this engine puts our 530 BHP which is roughly where the 426 hemi, the 427 L88 were, both these engines liked a minimum of 2" primaries (actually 2 and 1/8 was minimum if you could fit it in the car... just saying). So even my conservative choice of a 1 and 7/8 bone stock long block was just that a conservative choice. The only good thing about the 1 and 7/8 header is there is more room less steering shaft / burned wire issues. I still have my stock wires correctly and carefully routed. That said the 2" would seem not to have any power loss and produce a tad more top end power even with just a bolt on engine. I don't regret my 1 and 7/8 would do it again, even though my current build would luv 2"

Comprehensive dyno tests have been done on the ls3 and lt1. 1 7/8 Beats 1 3/4 from bottom to top

You are, 1 7/8 make more power than the 3/4, I wouldn't even go through the trouble and expense for 3/4

1 7/8 are what you want for a bolt-on level car. 2" wont add anything until Forced Induction or a aggressive heads/cam setup. Also some brands 2" have clearance issues. Depending on your plans for the car, I wouldn't even do headers...just get CA cat deletes and tune the NPP valves. 80% of the gains are deleting the primary cats, and adjusting how the NPP valves open and close cleans up the sound.
