Can you plug F1tires?

I ran over something last night in my '16 2ss. Now have a hole in driver side front tire. Can I put a plug in it? Or can a fealership do a repair? I've had the car for 2 months, mileage is about 8700.

Only had 1500 miles on mine when I picked up a screw over a year ago. I put a plug in it and has been fine since. I now have 6K miles on it.

I punctured one of mine last year and had a multitude of shops tell them they wont/can't patch it because its a runflat due to the liability of the structural compromise of the tire if the pressure had dropped to low. I don't know how factual that is or not. I also ended up at the time plugging mine and it was perfectly fine. Understand as a side note, if you use any fix a flat product(even if it says its non damaging to your TPMS sensor) it may still clog up that sensor causing it to read incorrectly as it did mine. Was a short term emergency fix for me. Wiping down the sensor later during a tire swapped fixed it. I eventually went to non run flats due to noise/pricing/fact i could mount a new run flat, drive down the road and pick up another puncture and I'm right back to where I started lol. Best of luck to you.

For what it costs ~$18 to have a flat fixed there's no reason at all to even consider putting a plug in a tire when for the price they patch it from the inside. Plug is a terrible thing to do with a tire even when you're super cheap.

Yeah, definitely patch it. Unfortunately I picked up a screw in the same tire twice in a matter of two weeks, luckily they were in good spots so it was a safe repair(s). 8K miles later still fine.

The problem with patching is that many shops won't patch a run-flat. If you have one that will, go for it. If not, you can plug it yourself as a temp fix until you find a shop that will patch it, or replace the tires.

Went back to the dealership to have my 1LE patched. Cable dahmer they patched tire for 18 bucks and gave me free rental for the day. And rebalance tire included. Even kept the car inside the whole time because I told them it had never been in the rain while I had it. Pretty good people.

No need to take it to a fealership when a fas station can plug it for $20.

Take it to Discount Tire if there is one near you. They will patch it for free and I had no issue with them patching my runflat on my 2SS.

418 miles. Bolt in pass rear. Plugged. Veterans Day. Dealer did it for free. 6,988 miles now. Put a tick of air in now and again.

Had a small nail (more like a dam n carpet tack)in rear tire and first place I went to said they could not patch it, even though I did not drive it with no air. They offered to get me a new Goodyear for $488 bucks. Will never go there again. Next store I went to patched and balanced for $26. Guess where all of my tire business will go now.
