Like I did with my LS2 (GTO) and Firebird (LS7) with aggressive cams, I will change the trunnions out of the rockers but keep the stock rocker arm and ratio. Harland Sharp is who did the ones I have, but, not sure if they have a kit yet but there are others out there.

Stock style rockers and bronze guides are not recommended. The guide will wear faster due to side loading.

Lingenfelter, Katech, etc. use bronze guides with stock or stock modified rockers on various motors they have built. I've got 72K miles on a LPE LS2 with them that spins well over 7000rpm, and my LPE LS7 was spun between 7600 and 8200 run after run with them - still going strong. Machining tolerance, valvetrain stability, rocker arm stiffness, etc. all play a roll. Done right, they can live just fine together. The stock LSx rocker arm itself is very stiff and has a good inertia profile a high rpm. If the bearings / trunnions are addressed, and the cam lift profile allows for good valve tip contact to be maintained on the rocker arm tip properly, they can be used at very high rpms regardless of the guide material. |

With LT rockers arm ratio being 1.8 vrs LS being 1.7 what would let's say 635 look like on a 1.7?

Either way I don't want to argue over it...if it's working for you then great. Sounds like you have built some nice setups

I'll change springs in 20 to 30 K miles (2 years) I'll check for valve slop at that point, hopefully, there will be a pleasant surprise.

Here is vid of the motor in the car on 3 track rental. Car is also setup with Flex fuel so helps against KR and keeps things cool from what Cosworth tool box says ,. |
