Gibson Catback R&D video.
The good folks over at Gibson have had their hands on my car last week as well as a few others in the area doing some R&D. Check out the video they made hopefully my car makes the next video cut! They are looking for the members here feedback on the sound of the exhaust so feel free to let them know what you think. I'm new to forums and can't figure out how to post a video so here is the link.

WOW, is the performance exhaust pipes smashed at the rear like those? Looks like they just pinched off some H/P.

Those are stock pipes.
The second example is way too loud. He said 10HP for the first one, I really like the mellow deep tone that growls when he opens it up. Nice option if you pass on NPP |

The second one sounds good, first is too quiet. Interesting, as what I always thought were resonators, but some thought were second cats, he called resonators as well...

I really wish one of the shops with a 2016 could dyno the car stock and then cut out the flat parts and weld in full size tubing and dyno again just so we could find out early and end the debate before it starts

That would be a great mod for the exhaust. Just replace a small section of pipe. |

Both sound good and cater to both sides of the market. If I had to pick I like loud so system two would be the one for me.

I think the second Gibson exhaust sounds good but I'm wondering how many people will actually go the aftermarket muffler route since so many of us are getting npp

NPP is great, especially after pulling the fuse.

NPP might be nice but I find it hard to believe many people will argue for NPP>Aftermarket in the realm of sound or flow. Don't be butthurt guys..geez.

You're the one coming in here saying the NPP isn't a real system. Yeah, aftermarket may be louder and flow more but NPP is great fit and finish not to mention the price. You can't find an aftermarket exhaust with dual mode for $895.
