Get the exhaust from Chevy or Do custom work?
Just wondering what would be better/sound better.. getting a 3rd party exhaust and some light stuff done.
Or just get it from Chevy? prob only 500 bucks more for 3rd party stuff |

Well if you don't like the sound of the NPP you should probably go aftermarket but you will lose the adjustment feature. My advice just keep the NPP

Most likely not. Unless your muffler guy can modify the NPP system to work with the new exhaust. Not many have been successful with the 5th gen cars or with Vettes.

I would go with the NPP exhaust from GM. It's factory and tunable, can't beat it

You can also still add headers and some other things to make it even better.

The factory NPP is the best of both worlds IMHO

If you go the option of the NPP exhaust, I am assuming you are basically committed to keeping the giant ugly suitcase muffler, right?
One thing I love about my Borla system, in addition to its sound obviously, is that it looks a lot more aggressive and sleek. |

Two words..... Quad tips!!
No nnp, no quad tips. Then your looking at a new diffuser if you want them. I am going NNP just for that savings alone. |

Hmm I don't know. Factory tri-y and NPP, which really, NPP costs about as much or less as a catback (Corsa, Borla, Magnaflow, etc.) and with NPP you can control the loudness when you want? Hard to beat if you ask me.

I have always got aftermarket exhaust on my new vehicles after I buy them. But this time around I will stick with the NPP exhaust because of the sound and tune ability

The NPP is livable. it is kind of quite with cats, sound best IMO with high flows, sounds almost too loud without them.
It is not my favorite exhaust note in the world though. Sound is subjective though. When I put longtubes on my ZL1 I changed the wiring to close the flaps at all times in one setting as it was almost too loud for me. Stock with the fuse pulled it was too quiet for me. with highflow cats it is about perfect for volume. I do think certain aftermarket options sound better borla, corsa, Stainless works
