Again, i have the v6...i elim the 2nd cats, and now flow straight thru to the square resonators then to the accessory gm perf exhaust which has no resonators, that is the original post on this thread. Someone eliminate the square resonator and it sounded worse.

Had my 2nd cats removed last week. With the fuze pull the sound is perfect, both tone and volume. Had it done at an upscale speed shop in Reno. Took 1 1/2 hours and costs $160. Highly recommend having it done if you have the performance exhaust.

did anyone with npp package do this? and if so do the npp exhaust still work, like can I still control the sound by closing the value and opening them? And does it still have the back fire sound when you shift in high rpm for example in this video at 0:30 you can hear the back fire https://youtu.be/mYbFZ9VdpgI

a cat delete wont affect the NPP function, and if anything, it should make that crackle more without the cat. someone correct me if I'm wrong on this one.

Has anyone done this with clamps yet? and if so what size pipe did you get and what not. I want to do this myself and any help before I crawl under the car would be nice

I'm sure you can use clamps. I used clamps on my axial back exhaust, they seals fine and NO exhaust leak...

So I know I'm a bit late to the party, but has anyone came out with a bolt on setup yet?

how would you have a bolt-on solution without welding plates to bolt to? and if you're going to weld, you can't really call it a bolt-on solution.

I've replaced my resonator with a real x-pipe. Still got both sets of cats. mrt v1 exhaust. It's increased the frequency of the exhaust a bit... But it sounds good still, different, but still very angry and good. I'm not sure it would sound good with stock exhaust since I imagine it would increase that rasp sound that the stock exhaust has.

The Resonator is right before the axel back, its a rectangle shaped resonator sits right before the stock muffler and after the secondary cats

the x pipe in the v6 exhaust is resonated...

You can replace it with a regular x pipe. This will bring the tone of the exhaust up a bit from wherever it's at.
