I have two vw and my zl1… If it was a trouble known on my both other cars I wouldn’t care… And for the fourth Time … this is possible, the consequences would be important and very expensive As I ever said you can find another post to rot… I’m looking for some clever answers as some other guys did it on this post Thanks to them |

It seems pretty simple to me. If you are concerned about it, your options are to:
1) replace it with the Katech pump and not worry anymore. 2) take a risk that it might be fine or it might not be fine. With yours being a '19, I'd say your risk level is very low for failure.

Yes I can replace thé oil pump and I’m’thinking about it… thé only thing is that Here in France … there is nearly no specialists and garages owners refuse to take care of the zl1… Because if the value
Here in France there are à lot of clowns in the us car world… they don’t want to take any risk… even for a simple oil change it’s a real complicated situation.. I know it’s not difficult but I’m thé worst mechanic on earth.. I have no aptitude… |

Just to give you an idea, if I recall correctly, they would charge you approximately 1500 GBP for the installation of a new pump.
