True, unless you use a fill grommet...i have one that is appx 2" tall from a fill kit and works well.

Why not plug them??...or loop them together? I'm missing the instructions, did they address this? (tried emailing them, no reply yet)...
Their response:

There was a model change ,the plugged port needs to stay that way.

The other is an overflow in case there is a problem

I'm 98% sure this reservoir is the surge tank from a Malibu hybrid.
GM Part # 42439124.

https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts...-tank-42439124

I'm all for it, but some might want to source this themselves and build their own bracket for a substantial cost savings.

I've spent an hour or so looking at GM catalogs, hope this is helpful to someone else.

Awesome!
Post back here when you get it and let us know how it looks.

My TPW is supposed to be this week, but I don't expect to see our new ZL1 until after the first of the year.

Sweet! Let us know if/when you figure those out. I won't see our ZL1 until after the first of the year probably.

Why pay close to 300 for this that does nothing for performance when you could pay a little more and do the bumper tanks and gain capacity that will help performance.

Bumper tanks for the 1.7L? Didn't know that.

From lpe and Cordes the sit on front bumpers support and hold almost 3 gallons.

Does this just T into the system providing a high place for air to go. Or does coolant flow through it and back to supercharger?

I agree. Although I bought one of these for my 1.7L, I was never convinced it did any good. On the other hand, my scan data shows that my current 7.5/8.5 gal. of circulating intercooler fluid helps to reduce engine and MAT a lot.
