Any way to mirror other apps onto the display?
I wanted to mirror waze onto the media screen but it seems impossible to do. Is there a way around this?

I can't even get waze to show on the display. It won't show the option to switch from Google maps.

i believe apple and google have to allow an app to be "projectable".
it sucks really. there may be folks that have been able to circumvent this, like rooting the android and such, but i've never bothered looking.

This IS possible assuming you're using an Android; can't speak for Apple. I just learned that there is only one version of Waze that works with Android Auto. It's version 4.24.0.113 .
-Delete your current Waze application and go to the Waze website (on your phone's browser) and download this version (Play Store will only have the most up to date version, which doesn't work!). -Once you download it, make sure you go to your app settings and disable Auto Update or you'll have to do this all over again each time your phone updates the app. -When you start up Android Auto (via USB cable) it will be an option under the maps icon(there will be an arrow next to the "maps" button) and Waze should be an option. Hope this helps.
